  Each year every coach will have the opportunity to nominate one player who s/he feels is worthy of an expense paid trip to Europe to attend a one week training camp (at a skill appropriate level) with a professional club!  Coaches will submit nominations to the Juventus Review Board who will consider all applications and select one player to attend this camp.     
       
  Juventus FC will then award that player and one adult by arranging and paying for airfare, housing/hotel accommodations, per diem meal compensation, and of course camp registration fees.     
       
  While soccer skill and ability are important components of the nomination, other qualities and characteristics will also be taken into consideration.  Players will be evaluated on work ethic, sportsmanship, effort, attitude, potential for soccer growth and development, and other similar observable traits.  Recommendations from coaches will be submitted in the latter half of the Spring season of each year.  Award recipients will be notified in writing and recognized at the end of season finale.

The football academy is the largest investment not only for PANATHINAIKOS F.C. but also for the entire Greek football community.

Children from all over Greece and from other countries are chosen every year to attend the football academy.

Once chosen they move to the Athletic Centre in Paiania where they develop their talent and prepare to become professional football players. They live in the hotel of the Athletic Center where, apart from intensive training, they follow school on the expenses of the club.

Moreover, they have private lessons on foreign languages and private tutoring on their school lessons. They also enjoy the facilities of the hotel such as restaurant, games room, TV room, sauna, etc.

For the 2004 - 2005 season the youth team won the Greek Championship as well as the International Copa Amsterdam Tournament." 

ATHLETIC CENTRE IN PAIANIA

"For 27 years the athletic centre in Paiania is the only complete and modern athletic centre in Greece and is considered to be one of the best in Europe. The building of the centre was part of the vision of the Vardinoyannis family had, so as to upgrade Greek football.

The main functions of the Centre are the following.

· The functioning of the football Academy.

· The scientific and comfortable preparation of the professional football team.

The comforts and the environment in the Athletic Centre are of high standards. For this reason, every year top European teams visit the Centre and many of them have conducted their preparation and training in Paiania. The Centre was built in 1981 and consists of 70 acres of green land

   
 

Facilities:

· Hotel accommodations which consist of 27 double rooms, restaurant, reception, bar, TV room, indoor pool, sauna, relax, cleaning services, relax room, cleaning services, play rooms, storage rooms, conference room.

· 4 football grounds, two of which have lighting.

· Football ground with artificial grass for special preparation and treatment.

· Fully equipped gymnasium and physiotherapy room, fully equipped dressing room for the professional team and one for the Academy.
